We also comply with other privacy, consumer, electronic communications, and record-keeping obligations applicable to our activities.
Information We Collect
Depending on your interaction with the store, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and delivery address;
- Order, payment transaction, delivery, refund, return, and customer-service information;
- Account credentials, product preferences, and marketing choices;
- Device, browser, IP address, cookie, session, and website interaction information; and
- Information required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Full payment card numbers are normally processed by authorised payment providers and are not stored directly by us.
How Information Is Collected
We collect information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, contact us, request a return, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with the store.
We may also receive information from Shopify, payment providers, couriers, fulfilment partners, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, and people authorised to act for you.
Purposes of Collection and Use
We use personal information to process payments, fulfil orders, arrange delivery, provide support, administer returns, prevent fraud, secure the store, improve our services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, and send marketing where permitted.
Disclosure
We may disclose necessary information to Shopify, payment processors, couriers, fulfilment partners, hosting providers, cloud services, analytics providers, marketing platforms, professional advisers, regulators, and contractors supporting the store.
We may also disclose information where authorised or required by law, in response to lawful court or governmental requests, to investigate suspected unlawful conduct, or to protect customers, the store, or third parties.
Overseas Processing and Disclosure
Some service providers may process or store personal information outside Australia, potentially including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, countries in the European Economic Area, and other locations used by our technology, payment, or fulfilment providers.
Where APP 8 applies, we will take reasonable steps required by the Australian Privacy Principles before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient. Information held overseas may also be subject to the laws of the relevant country.
Cookies and Analytics
We may use necessary, preference, performance, analytics, and advertising cookies or similar technologies. You may use an available consent tool or browser settings to control non-essential cookies. Blocking certain cookies may affect store functionality.
Direct Marketing
We send commercial electronic messages only where permitted by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and other applicable requirements. You may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing message or by contacting us.
We may continue sending non-promotional messages needed to administer an order, provide requested support, or meet legal obligations.
Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose or to meet legal, taxation, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution requirements. When no longer required, information will be securely deleted, destroyed, or de-identified where practicable.
Data Breaches
If we reasonably believe an eligible data breach has occurred and the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.
Access and Correction
You may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. We may verify your identity and may refuse or limit a request where permitted by law.

Terms of Service
Effective date: 18 August 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Thirlmere Lakes & Bottlebrush website and online store. By using the store, you agree to these terms.
Store Contact
Email: support@thirlmerelakesandbottlebrush.com.au
Phone: +61 2 5550 1468
Address: 100 Colo St, Couridjah NSW 2571, Australia
Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you permit a minor to use a device or account under your supervision, you remain responsible to the extent permitted by law.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and protect your account credentials. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You must not impersonate another person or use false identity, payment, or delivery information.
Acceptable Use
You must not use the store to violate law, infringe intellectual property, transmit malicious code, interfere with security, scrape content without permission, commit fraud, harass another person, or disrupt the website.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the store, service providers, or third parties.
Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, colours, sizes, dimensions, and photographs accurately. Actual colours may vary because of screen settings, and natural or handmade products may have reasonable individual variations.
Nothing in this provision excuses a product that is materially different from its description or otherwise fails to satisfy a statutory consumer guarantee.
Orders
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline an order for legitimate reasons, including unavailable stock, an obvious pricing error, payment failure, suspected fraud, or delivery restrictions.
A sales contract is formed when we expressly accept the order or dispatch the goods. An automated acknowledgement of receipt does not necessarily constitute acceptance.
Prices and GST
Prices are stated in Australian dollars unless indicated otherwise. Where we are registered or required to register for GST, displayed consumer prices include applicable GST unless clearly stated otherwise. Delivery fees and other charges will be disclosed before checkout completion.
Third-Party Services
The store may use or link to services operated by independent third parties. Those services may have separate terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for independent third-party conduct except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
Intellectual Property
Original store text, branding, graphics, photographs, layout, and other content are owned by or licensed to Thirlmere Lakes & Bottlebrush. You may use the store for personal shopping purposes but may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected content without permission.
Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a guarantee, condition, right, or remedy under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law, the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW), or another law where exclusion would be unlawful.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss caused solely by website interruption or unlawful misuse. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer remedies and liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.
Changes
We may update these terms prospectively by publishing a revised version and effective date. Changes do not retrospectively alter an accepted order unless agreed by the parties or required by law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the applicable federal laws of Australia. Courts located in New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting mandatory rights available elsewhere.
Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent to support@thirlmerelakesandbottlebrush.com.au or discussed by calling +61 2 5550 1468.
